The workers are pleasant and courteous even in the midst of a high volume of customer activity. Their cornbread adds great flavor to whatever is ordered from their menu.They are tried & proven to be a welcome & enduring pleasurable presence in the neighborhood. “ I'm vegetarian and just moved here from the south. I've been homesick, and most soul food I've had in the northeast have been subpar. So, I had low expectations. But good lord this place is amazing! I ordered takeout through Door Dash, so I can't speak to the restaurant, but the food is incredible!! The portion sizes are really generous, too. I ordered the All Sides Dinner Platter with mac & cheese, broccoli, and greens, a side of mashed potatoes, and cornbread. The cornbread is PERFECT. It's sweet like my family makes All of it is seasoned perfectly, and cooked perfectly. Cannot recommend this place enough. ”
